Have
each student keep a notebook of new words. This is a nice activity to do
daily or a few times a week. It is also good for handwriting practice. Each
day, each student finds a word in the dictionary that he does not know. He
then writes the word, the definition, and an original sentence using the word
in his notebook. An illustration would make a nice addition. Have students
share their words with at least one other person.

will allot a topic from Current affairs. They will read this topic from
newspapers, magazines, etc. and analyze this topic from different part of

the story Pyramid

Step
by step development of making a story.
|
Small
pictorial books will be given to the students after reading that they will
make a pyramid of the story charts with the main character at the top then
add a word to each line below it. Each
of the students is given a book, like a small mostly pictorial in nature
along with some text. The student reads it and later is given a worksheet to
describe the book in the form of a pyramid. |

review format will be given to the students by the Librarian and will ask to
write a review of a book that the student has read. The Book review format
should contain the information like - Author of the book, Publisher of the
Book, Price, ISBN, About the book in minimum 15 lines and moral of the book
in maximum 4 lines, etc.

or events/topics as per the age group will be given to the students on which
they can write their idea. A lecture may be arranged on writing skills. The
writer may be invited in this regard. Many children magazines like Champak,
Nandan, Bal Hans, Twinkle, Magic Pot, etc invite the poem, story, riddles etc
form the Children. Students will be motivated to write for these periodicals.
